Canine Food Supplements

How can I extend and improve the quality of life for my fifteen year old Jack Russell?
My fifteen year old Jack Russell has arthritis in the hips and lower back to the vet Rimadyl has ordered, but also has a minor heart problem for which you take a daily tablet Fortekor. By your age, I look pretty good but a little more tired than I like and seems rather rigid and immobile, especially after waking up after a dream. My life would be boring without my canine companion would appreciate any advice on ways I could improve their quality of life and make the greatest living possible time. I live in the UK so if you recommend supplements or food, etc, please try to ensure that I will be able to buy them. Thank you.
I ordered some Synflex mine - I had to do it in the States (can not be the case now), but was only 15 pounds, and lasted a long time. Contains glucosamine (referred above), chondroitin sulfate, yucca extract, and all sorts of other good things, my hips rigid b1tch JRT has more than a couple of weeks and are very well to this day. EDIT: These people sell in the UK. I doubt that they are the cheapest - http://synflexforpets.co.uk/ have the human version - to my knowledge, there is no difference than taste. I really can not recommend this highly enough - give a bottle to go (15 pounds due to last three months, or is missing) - I bet you see a difference. EDIT: glucosamine is probably the most important thing you can get, but be aware that it is well absorbed in pill form - Best go to a liquid form as you like.
