How to get a license to operate as a distributor of food supplements in Japan?

I would like to know the requirements. I have a friend who is a distributor of food supplements here in the Philippines and helped me in its plan to distribute their products abroad especially in Japan. I hope that could get some answers here. We already have our license to operate here in the Philippines and some important documents. I know that Japan has their list of requirements as well. We would like to purchase these, and we want to do everything legally.

You probably get your best answer in contact with the Japanese government. Does anyone here can give their best guess, but getting the data directly from those whose job is to answer the question would be probably your best bet. They can begin the process of obtaining a license to use, while you are talking to them if you're ready. Good luck!
