Why does hydrogen peroxide in the ear to relieve an earache?

I had a sore throat and ear pain some of the last few days and turned to my trusty bottle of hydrogen peroxide remedy the source of pain relief. Works like a charm every time, but I wonder why does it work? Why does hydrogen peroxide soothe the pain of ear pain?

well it's cool and what may have something to do with it. or it could also be the aspect of gas to give a massage the eardrum or little you have had a situation going on and in swimmers ear that if the peroxide hydrogen kill bacteria and solve the problem.
