Home remedy for diarrhea in dogs and cats?

Does anyone have a good home remedy for dogs and cats with diarrhea? I'm looking for something more that food. I will not feed my animals, people food, 'because in the past that has given them diarrhea. Need to figure out some kind of medicine. And I mean by medicine as a medicine rememdy home. The reason I want a home remedy is they do not want to take them to the vet.
