What are the best home remedies for toothache?

I do not have cloves, tea tree oil or tarragon. Ibuprofen helped a bit but I'm willing to continue to take?

my partner has a toothache at the time, and ended by calling NHS Direct this morning ... nurse who spoke recommended that kept taking painkillers, but no more than 6 ibuprofen, acetaminophen and 8 in the space of 24 hours. He also found a hot water bottle helps, but do not press too firmly against your face .... apparently that can make it hurt even more! if u want to call NHS Direct, its number is: 0845 46 47 u hope you feel better soon.
