What is the best medicine and / or home remedy for sore throat and loss of voice?

I'm opening in a game next week and need get well!

The first thing to evaluate is the cause behind your sore throat. Do you have fever, headache and swollen glands, besides its just a sore throat or a sore throat with some drainage? If the latter, you could try some over the counter antihistamines see if it improves. I would also advise taking high doses of vitamin C. Yes, it's a homeopathic advice, but I've noticed that tends to help me when they suffer similar symptoms. Gargling with salt water-not too bad. However, being a medical student, I definitely encourage them to see someone. It is bad medicine to diagnose someone via email. Even if I could enter an urgent care clinic and be seen by a doctor who could be beneficial. Because if you do have something more serious, you do not want next week to be sick during the game
