A. .. natural remedy for bronchitis?

I've heard that smoking marijuana is a cure for bronchitis. not the best choice for someone against the drugs, but for someone who smokes regularly, would it work better? I had a friend who had bronchitis, then smoked, and it was fine in a week or two. first went to the doctors, so yes, it really was bronchitis. Theoretically, I can see it working. Marijuana has some substance in what has cleaning properties. It is also good for asthma. therefore could not clean lungs bronchitis? interested in individual responses.
