Do the B12 Vitamins help you lose weight?

I've been trying to lose weight. I wanna go to a clinic and get these shots, everyone tells me they work great. But I don't understand how. Has anyone tried them?

B12 helps with energy so in a roundabout way it could help you lose weight. The increaed energy may inspire you to workout which therefore would help lose weight. I take a B-12 supplement, it is a spray that i spray in my mouth a couple times a day. It does help but its not magic. The spray I take also has other B vitamins that help with carb control and other issues associtate with good health.
