What is a good home remedy to get rid of the infection in the ear of a dog?

My dog has had an ear infection for a couple of weeks. I have to clean very well, and I bought some things at Pet Smart that is supposed to help, but does not appear. Can anyone tell me what to do?

I am not a vet not take my word, but my vet told me to clean my dogs ears with a tablespoon of white vinegar mixed with water. But again I'm not vet and do not know if this is good for an ear infection.
