Specific vitamins/minerals/foods to help acne/healthy skin?
I am wondering what foods help clear up acne. Anything more specific than just fruits, veggies, and water? What minerals/vitamins are best for clear healthy skin, and what foods are chock full? Ive been really bad during the holidays and been wolfing down tons of chocolate--without fail it ALWAyS gives me bad bad breakouts on my otherwise normal skin. I've exfoliated and done a good face wash routine (and of course have cut out the chocolate and oily things!!!) So, any help??
I've been taking extra virgin coconut oil gel caps and they've helped significantly, My skin was never too bad but it's now i I only get a few pimples around that time of the month and that's it. Just make sure it's cold pressed and organic. Processed coconut oil isn't worth the money as most of the healthy stuff is destroyed in the process. If you like the taste of coconut it also comes in a canister that can be taken by the recommended dose in spoon fulls, cooked with or eaten on another food like toast. I've read that it can be used directly on the skin but I've never tried it.
