Perfect Prenatal Vitamins New Chapter
Can I have Luna Bars during pregnancy?
I am just wondering if I can have Luna bars during pregnancy along with my prenatal vitamin. I take New Chapter Perfect Prenatal so it doesn't have too much Vitamin A in it. The luna bar says it has 25% of the daily value of Vitamin A, but it is not hard to get Vitamin A in your diet. I am only concerned, because too much Vitamin A can cause birth defects and liver problems and pregnant women should not get more the 10,000 IU of Vitamin A a day. Vitamin A is abundant in eggs and milk and fruits and vegetables so I am just wondering if anyone thinks I should avoid eating the Luna Bars, or if it would be fine for me to eat them? Sorry for the weird question, I am justa worrywart! Thanks!
i would think you would be okay, motherhood maternity actually sent me a sample with a pair of jeans i ordered online. Your body will excrete any extra vitamins/nutrients that it doesn't need. It's not like with the extra A that you get from the luna bars and foods that your are taking 10 times the normal amount. I would think that the liver damage would occur with you constantly and excessively get more vitamin A and overwork your system. Definitely check with your doctor but chances are you'll be fine
