Home remedies + cough?

Dont tell me to go to the vet, I already did and he's on antibiotics...i'm just looking for something that migh also help. Like i heard tea could help my puppies cough. Any ideas?
He has kennel cough and the antibiotics dotn seem to help much. Looking for other options.
