How long does a yeast infection last?

I have been taking 875 mg of generic Augmentin (an antibiotic) twice daily for 10 days for a throat infection. Of course, I developed a yeast infection just over a week since the day it began prescription. I wondered if it would disappear by itself once the antibiotic out of my system or if you need to get some treatment over the counter. If you go away on its own, how long should it last? Also, is there any good home remedy to treat the itching?

every time i taking antibiotics the same happens to me! its annoying, but I know that is a cousin of antibiotics kill all bacteria that can, even the good bacteria that leaves us susceptible to infections until our bodies build good things again. I would not leave the yeast infection alone, I'd get the Monistat / Other marks as soon as possible cuz it's only going to get worse and I've heard of it causing IU if you do not stop in time, besides being horrible to live. Some stores have right yeast tablets in the feminine hygiene section to help prevent fungal infections or so they say, but I've never tried them. One thing that helped me overcome yest infection after the antibiotic was Kombucha tea is a stranger / I know very funny juice, but is full of good bacteria and helps replenish the good stuff. not good to drink while ur antibiotics, however, believe that kind of offset each other. is likely to be found at ur local cooperative health food store. good luck!
