Vitamins In Fruit

What gene/s is responsible for the production of nutrients(vitamins/minerals) in fruits?

If you could suggest/give a website that has the answer to my question, that would be great too.

Plants have pathways where a series of activities occur to construct a molecule like a vitamin. Plants start with photosynthesis to convert CO2 and H2O to glucose. Then they convert glucose into ascorbic acid (vitaminC). This means many genes are involved in the multistage process making this a polygenic trait.

One gene on one pathway has been identified as being involved in manufacturing the vitamin.
Chromosome 4 has the gene loci for myo-inositol oxygenas (Miox4) in Arabadopsis. Knock-in plants with additional gene copies for Miox4 show a copy dependent increase in ascorbate .

the gene VTC2 that codes for L-galactose guanyltransferase & is a major regulatory point in the ascorbate pathway.
