Vitamins Guide
How nutritious is the applesauce? ?

My son loves it, but see the guide on nutrition, I see missing in almost all vitamins but recommend eating an apple a day.

You're right, applesauce has little nutritional value. It provides vitamin C but can contain much sugar. Look for sugar-free varieties, so this is a concern. Beyond that, I would say it's OK for your child to enjoy a snack. There are many things worse than I could eat (candy, cookies, chips, etc.). A fresh apple is much better though. See if you can do to lunch once in a while instead of applesauce. Try to reduce or cut and serve with peanut butter or caramel sauce. You can also cut, sprinkle with a little cinnamon, and place it in the microwave for a pie hot apple-like treatment Good luck!
